Golden Gate Fishermen's Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing California's fisheries and our natural resources. Our membership consists of passenger fishing boat owners/operators, private boat owners, fishing related businesses, marine recreational anglers and other concerned citizens.

Founded in 1948 Golden Gate Fishermen's Association has been working with local, state and federal agencies to enhance our ever-threatened marine/anadromous fisheries environment. In order to maintain a vigil on current issues and concerns, G.G.F.A. sits on or acts in an advisory capacity for the following committees:

Pacific Fisheries Management Council
Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission
California Department of Fish & Game
Farallon Islands Marine Sanctuary
Cordell Banks National Marine Santuary

G.G.F.A. vessels are either approved or certified by the United States Coast Guard for your safety. They operate with knowledgeable licensed captains and helpful crews. Boats depart harbors daily from Fort Bragg, and South to Morrow Bay, including ports located in Bodega Bay, Sausalito, San Francisco, Emeryville, Berkeley, Half Moon Bay, Monterey, and Santa Cruz. There is Salmon fishing from the last week of February through the middle of November, Rock Cod, Summer Potluck, Sturgeon, Shark, Bass, Halibut, and when available Albacore. In addition we have exciting nature trips, including magnificent whale migrations, outstanding bird watching at the Farallone Islands and other bay and off-shore excursions.
